Vernissage for the conclusion of the series «Switzerland and the construction of multilateralism»
The latest volume in the Quaderni di Dodis – fonti series has arrived! 50 freshly published and commented documents reflect the internationalisation strategies of the Swiss federal state at the end of the 19th century, bringing the trilogy «Switzerland and the construction of multilateralism» to a close.
In addition to the 50 key documents published in the volume, numerous other documents available in the Dodis online database provide an overview of Switzerland’s active participation in international congresses, conferences and world exhibitions, its role as the headquarters of international organisations and the Swiss contribution to the development of international law. The topics covered range from the Universal Postal Union in Berne to the protection of Swiss citizens abroad, as well as disarmament and peace issues.
On Thursday 7 September at 3 p.m., the Dodis research centre will present the newly published documents at a vernissage at the Library of Parliament in the Federal Parliament Building:
