6.8 percent of all Swiss people say that they use the Internet «several times per week», while 15.1 percent have used it «at least once during the last 6 months» and no more than 129 URL are registered under the domain «.ch». That is how the world looked like 20 years ago, when the page www.dodis.ch went online on 28 May 1997.
The DDS research group thus helped writing a part of the pioneering history of the internet. dodis.ch has remained the most important web platform for sources on Swiss contemporary history.
