Studium der Englischen Sprach- und Literaturwissenchaften, Allgemeinen Geschichte und Sinologie an der Universität Zürich und Social and Cultural History am Birkbeck College, University of London. Doktorat in Geschichte an der Universität Zürich mit Forschungsaufenthalten in London und an der University of California, Berkeley. Habilitation im Rahmen des SNF-Forschungsprojektes «Les relations sino-suisses au temps de la guerre froide» von Prof. Claude Hauser, Universität Freiburg. 2015 Swiss Scholar am Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. 2020 Habilitation und Venia Legendi in Zeitgeschichte. Seit 2010 Geschichtslehrerin an der Kantonsschule Baden.

Forschungsschwerpunkte

Schweiz-China; China und der Westen seit dem 19. Jh.; Geheimdienste im Kalten Krieg; Global Cold War; Visual History; Politikgeschichte und Diplomatiegeschichte im 20. Jh. (USA, GB, Schweiz), Sozial- und Kulturgeschichte (Gender, Rassismus, Mode); transnationale Schweizer Geschichte; diskursive und visuelle Konstruktionen von Nationalismus.
