Swiss Diplomatic Documents (SDD) cooperates with various partner institutions on whose support it can rely. The institutions to which it is closest are represented on the Commission for the Publication of Swiss Diplomatic Documents.
Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences
Swiss Diplomatic Documents is funded by the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHS). The Academy assumed full responsibility for the funding and administration of the project in January 2000.

Federal Archives
All the documents selected for publication come from the Swiss Federal
Archives in Berne. The Federal Archive provides SDD with premises
and infrastructure in which to conduct its research work.
Federal Department of Foreign Affairs
A cooperation agreement was signed with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in the year 2000. This makes it possible to have a continuous exchange between the research group and the agencies of the DFA with regard to requests to examine files and other issues. In addition, the Department provides some of the funding for the project.

National Science Foundation
Since the project began in the mid-1970s until the changeover to
the SAHS in January 2000, Swiss Diplomatic Documents received
most of its funding from the Swiss National Science Foudation.
