Sacha Zala,
born 1968, Dr. phil., studied history, political science and constitutional
law at the University of Berne and the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill. 1997-2000 scientific researcher with the project
«Internationalization strategies as an instrument of Swiss
foreign policy» in the national research programme «Grundlagen
und Möglichkeiten der schweizerischen Aussenpolitik»
(Principles and potential of Swiss foreign policy) (NFP 42) under
the direction of Prof. Dr. Madeleine Herren (University of Zurich).
At the University of Berne, 1998-1999 academic assistant to Prof.
Dr. Judit Garamvölgyi and 1999-2002 to Prof. Dr. Marina Cattaruzza,
with own teaching post. Since 2002 Oberassistent for modern and
contemporary history at the University
of Berne. Since 2000 collaboration to the publication of Swiss
Diplomatic Documents. Since 2008 Director and Senior researcher.
